What is UTU Innovation Challenge?
UTU is organizing an Innovation Challenge -competition for start-up companies with its partner UTU Invest Oy. We are looking for fresh and maybe even revolutionary feasible innovations in the electrical and automation industry (product, technology or process idea) that, in addition to the novelty value, has a good commercial potential.
If you are a start-up company or have an innovative idea for the electrical and automation industry and looking for the best possible partner for your idea, fill out an application and participate in the UTU Innovation Challenge.

Introducing UTU-group

We offer a great opportunity to grow your business or your innovation idea into a successful factor in the electrical and automation industry. UTU-experts are preparing your idea with you to a successful business! For each idea announced, we promise good orientations and feedback from UTU. We bring more than 100 years of UTU Group’s experience and support to non-winners as well.

How does UTU Innovation Challenge proceed in practise?

Fill in your information in the form below, no later than 11th June 2021.

You will receive more information regarding the challenge by e-mail. Fill in the documents you received and send them to us within the deadline.

UTU gets to know your idea thoroughly and with expertise. For potential owners of ideas, we will send an invitation to a separate final event where you will be able to present your product, technology or process development in a more detailed way. This pitching event will be held in September 2021, if possible, physically on site. We will also let you know if your idea did not move forward to the pitching event by the end of June 2021.

In the pitching event each company will be given a turn to pitch, and after that there will be an opportunity for a deeper exchange of ideas with the UTU jury, which will be composed of representatives of UTU’s management and board, as well as UTU experts.

UTU-team selects one company and idea as the winner. Other participants also have the ability for further discussions with UTU.
